| PBandJ's Aspen Extreme, CD CGC,Therapy Dog Trailing and Cadaver SAR DOG
Flash: On November 22, 2003, Aspen became Cen-Tex Search and Rescue's first certified cadaver dog.
Aspen attained her CD at 8.5 months old at the AstroHall Dog show in Houston in 3 consecutive days, showing in conformation each day as well, with 2 of the 3 days getting placements in Novice A. Aspen is trained for Open obedience and a few utility portions, but has had an undiagnosed foot injury for the last year. We are hoping to get her healed and trialed soon. She is a member of Aggieland Pets With A Purpose, a non-profit Animal Therapy group started in College Station, TX in March of 2002. She participates in visitation with people of all ages, is a certified therapy dog with this organization and goes to a rehab center in town and helps patients with physical therapy. Aspen is also a member of Cen-Tex Search and Rescue, Canine and Mounted. This is a new SAR group started in the Brazos Valley the end of 2002. She is training for Trailing and Cadaver work.
